Reports has it that Swallows and Mamelodi Sundowns are close to an agreement for U23 international Promise Mkhume.
The Tshwane born player has been on the sidelines in the last campaign at Choorkop, which has forced the hand of the player’s representatives to try and get him away from the Brazilians.
The 22-year-old got promoted to the senior team under coach Pitso Mosimane in January 2020 and signed a five-year deal after he had an impressive U20 FIFA World Cup.
The Dube Birds are believed to be looking to have the attacker’s services, and now both clubs are close to reaching an agreement for the player.
Mkhume managed just one appearance last season where he played 25-minutes in the Nedbank Cup. The details of whether it’s going to be loan deal or permanent move for the player have not been revealed yet.
SuperSport United and Cape Town City had been previously interested in the forward.
