The Namibian striker scooped the Man of the Match award for his performance as he helped Bucs return to winning ways.
The DStv Premiership club lost 2-1 to Kaizer Chiefs before a goalless draw with Golden Arrows last time out.
Speaking after Wednesday’s game, Hotto said in the Citizen: “The coaches told us what we should expect from Stellenbosch. I think the game plan worked very well for us, playing behind the third line, and ja, it worked. We are grateful because it is a stepping stone to our upcoming games.
“I am grateful for scoring two goals, it is something that I have been working on and at least today it came through. I’ve been working hard for it and I am grateful. But they are coming (goals), I hope I am going to score more in the future.”
Pirates next play Liberian side LPRC Oilers in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup play-off on Sunday.
