Demba Ba could be in line for a shock return to Newcastle with the Magpies already in talks with Chelsea over a possible deal.
The striker has played just 65 minutes of the Blues opening three Premier League fixtures and is seen as surplus to requirements by manager Jose Mourinho.
Newcastle are actively looking for more firepower and are keen to take Ba, who scored 29 goals in 54 games on Tyneside, back to St James Park.
