Amazulu head coach Jozef Vukusic insists he will not step down from his post after watching his team slip deeper into relegation trouble after a 2-1 defeat to Golden Arrows on Saturday.
Usuthu are now bottom of the table after 22 matches of the league season after the loss to their KZN rivals.
Vukusic only took over the head coaching reins at Amazulu in September but is now under immense pressure to keep his job.
The Slovakian though says he will not walk away from the challenge of saving the club from relegation.
“I’m fit, I’m stronger and a fighter. We knew from first day that it can be like this until we finish, so I must bring my experience and the players must continue to work hard. continue preparing game by game.
“I can do only that, nothing more, and my team. If I came to that point then okay but I’m very far from that [quitting] and I know it’s a big challenge.
“When you follow it from outside it’s very different but I’m in that process with my team. I have no doubt on that.”
Amazulu’s next game n the league is on 29 February when they take Chippa United away from home.
