Cape Town City owner John Comitis believes the professionalism of launching his new club is something that will improve the Premiership.
After a takeover, the league rules state that a club requires at least 12 months until a relocation procedure can take place.
However, the highly-ambitious Comitis feels City have done well to relocate and take care of all administrative issues in such a short space of time and received special dispensation from the league committee due to the positive effect the club will have on the status of the top flight.
“I don’t think we did anything against the rules, everything was done very professionally in an orderly manner,” Comitis told Goal.
“It was done with an intent of improving the league and that is why the executive had no problem in approving it.
“All the elements of the deal were taken care off, employees, players and everything and so there was no reason for it to be sanctioned.”
The club formerly known as Black Aces are set to play their football at the Cape Town Stadium next season.
