Kwayiba played a pivotal role as the Chilli Boys’ 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at Moses Mabhida Stadium secured survival, lifting them to 13th in the Premiership and avoiding relegation.

The 26-year-old forward has rediscovered his best form since rejoining Chippa on a permanent deal from Orlando Pirates in January 2026.

After struggling for regular game time during his short stint with the Buccaneers, Kwayiba has flourished back at his former club, contributing six goals and one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions.

His resurgence has reportedly attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch, who are both believed to be monitoring his situation ahead of next season.

Chippa coach Brandon Truter has now confirmed that offers have already been made for the Bafana Bafana international, although the final decision will rest with the club’s management.

“I believe there are a few offers on the table for Kwayiba. Unfortunately, I only have one game at the club, I can’t give my opinion, but ultimately it’s the club that has to decide on the transfers of the players,” said Truter.

“In the new season, you’d like to retain your best players, but clubs need to survive, and if it’s a good offer, why not go for it? We have so many talented players in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) side that can put up their hand.”

Kwayiba initially joined Pirates in July 2025 but endured a frustrating first half of the campaign before making his return to Chippa.

His performances during the second half of the season have now reignited interest in his services, leaving the club with a major decision to make during the upcoming transfer window.
