Ceballos wants to join Betis from Real

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos wants to return to his former club Real Betis, claims Los Verdiblancos’ director Antonio Cordon.

In an interview with ElDesmarque, Real Betis sporting director Cordon claims the 25-year-old Ceballos wants a move back to Los Verdiblancos in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Ceballos started his football career in the youth ranks at Real Betis and went on to play 105 times for the first-team before being sold to Real Madrid in 2017.
Unfortunately for Ceballos he fighting for a spot in the Real starting-lineup with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro – meaning got very little game time at the club.
Between 2019 and 2021 Ceballos was loaned out to Arsenal but upon his return he got injured during the Tokyo Olympic Games, which ended any hopes of a transfer.
When fit he got game time at Real making 18 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti.
“Ceballos is desperate to join Betis. But he’s a Real Madrid player, so I can’t say more,” Betis’ Cordon told ElDesmarque.
“Hector Bellerín? He’s in love with Betis. He’s now back at Arsenal and we will see what happens, he knows our situation.
“The other day they crossed paths because I ran into him at the Bernabeu. So we crossed paths and greeted each other. This is like everything, we know that he is dying to come to Betis.
“His attachment to this city, to these fans and to this The club is huge… but he is a Real Madrid player, you can’t say more,” Cordon said.
