Cardiff showed once again why teams should fear crossing the border with a spirited showing against the champions.
They’ll need to keep up that tempo this weekend as the league leaders come to town.
Arsenal were quietly efficient against Southampton and followed that up with another no frills showing in the Champions League.
Jack Wilshere even chipped in with a couple of goals, and with Theo Walcott’s return from injury, Arsene Wenger is spoilt for choice at the moment.
There is a steely resolve about this Arsenal team, making them genuine title contenders.
In season’s gone by I may have been tempted to go with a Cardiff victory, but not at the moment.
