Bvuma: The most important thing is the team

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma says he will support what ever decision is made as to who starts in goal against Al Ahly on Saturday.

The 26-year-old played just nine times in all competitions for Amakhosi this past season as he shared duties with Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune.

He did well in his three CAF Champions League encounters and stands a good a chance as any of his teammates at getting the opportunity to start in the final.

Speaking to Sowetan, Bvuma said: “I have been in this position before so I will see how things turn out for me. All I have to do is work hard and hope that I get a starting nod. However, I am not losing sleep because I know we are all ready and whoever plays will do well.

“If I don’t play, I will support whoever plays because at the end of the day, the most important thing is the team. It’s the team, not Bruce who’s in the final of the Champions League, so the goals of the team are more important.”
