According to reports, Rulani Mokwena has bolstered his technical team with the appointment of experienced coach Allan Freese. This marks the second South African addition to Mokwena’s staff in Morocco.
Freese and Mokwena have a long-standing connection, dating back to their time together at Platinum Stars. Freese joins Sinethemba Badela, who recently left his role as Sundowns’ reserve team coach to become Mokwena’s assistant at Wydad.

This move to Wydad represents a significant challenge for the 37-year-old Mokwena. The Moroccan club is currently under a FIFA transfer ban, but they’re working to resolve it before the season kicks off next month.
Reports suggest Freese eagerly accepted the opportunity to join Mokwena’s coaching team, which is expected to include additional South Africans. Fitness trainer Sibusiso Mahlangu and performance analyst Sibusiso Makitla, both formerly with Sundowns, are anticipated to join the Wydad staff in Casablanca
