The Brazilian Serie A heats up as the table formulates shape. Corinthians battle Juventude in the fortress that is Venue Neo Química Arena, before the spectacle of the weekend that brings along with it value for the punter, Internacional versus Flamengo in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.

Saturday 11 June
Corinthians 13/20
Draw 43/20
Juventude 48/10
(21:30)
Corinthians remain dominant in the Brazilian Serie A, and this weekend shouldn’t prove much of a challenge with all due respect to Juventude. The home side has made Venue Neo Química Arena a fortress across all competitions this season. 13 straight fixtures without defeat, but the last three have been 1-1 draws. Juventude can take confidence in their opponent’s dip in home form alongside their upturn of three undefeated away trips. Looking at recent scorelines, both teams to score (Yes) is the way to go at 27/20.
Sunday 12 June
7/20 Atletico MG
Draw 32/10
Croatia 47/20
(20:45)
Atletico Mineiro are able to rely heavily on Hulk and Eduardo Sasha in front of goal. The pair have scored six of the Rooster’s last nine goals at home and should their names even sniff the team sheet, back the anytime goalscorer market. The travelling side have had a disappointing couple of weeks, and their last five away trips have been the bane of their troubles, collecting just five points from a possible 15. Atletico Mineiro matchbet and over 2.5 totals makes sense at 11/10.
Fluminense 9/10
Draw 2/1
Santos 15/2
(00:00)
It’s that time of the season where gameweeks encroach on the halfway mark and the table begins to take shape. For Atletico Goianiense, they would prefer not to sit in those bottom four relegation slots. Emotions of finishing dead-last in 2017 will resurface, especially with one win in their last five away trips. Fluminense are not sitting the prettiest in terms of table position (13th), but in their defence, ninth place to 14th is separated by a single point. The away team have the upper hand in recent head-to-head results, winning three of their last five against Fluminense across all competitions, but have not won at Venue Estadio Jornalista Mário Filho since 2012. Back the draw in this encounter.
Cuiaba 37/20
Draw 17/10
Bragantino 31/20
(00:00)
Four straight defeats in the Serie A, and Cuiaba are looking more and more likely to be cementing themselves at the foot of the table. Dourado, however, have managed to keep things respectable on home soil and each of their last five fixtures have ended under 2.5 goals. In order, Cuiaba have recorded a win, loss, back-to-back draws, and most recently a 1-0 defeat to Athletico PR’s 85th minute goal. RB Bragantino sit just two points adrift of their opponents on the table and a mix bag of results translates that poor form. Double chance the home side (Win/Draw) with additional totals under 2.5 at 11/10, I believe is the likely outcome.
Internacional 37/20
Draw 39/20
Flamengo 14/10
(02:00)
Flamengo’s third Serie A home defeat came at the hands of bottom dwellers Fortaleza. Back-to-back trips on the road might be a refreshing starting point for Urubu. However, their recent fixtures away to Internacional does not bode well in their favour, losing five, drawing three and winning just two in the last 10 trips to Venue Estádio José Pinheiro Borda. Internacional have yet to lost at home this season, but the bulk of their points tally comes from trips abroad. The draw with both teams to score (Yes) is my runner at 31/10.
Sao Paulo 13/20
Draw 22/10
America MG 4/1
(21:00)
Sao Paulo are at a major disadvantage when they battle close in table proximity opponents America Mineiro two days after traveling over 800kms to face Coritiba on Friday. Whereas America MG will have an extra day between their fixtures. I cannot look past Soberano’s home form which is marred by just one draw this season. They seemingly ran out of steam as well as discipline when Ceara made it 2-2 in the 75th minute followed by a second yellow which saw Igor Gomes receive his marching orders. With all that said, America are weak travellers, picking a solo win in their five away fixtures this campaign. Sao Paulo should edge the victory.
Monday 13 June
Forteleza 21/20
Draw 39/20
Atletico PR 5/2
(00:00)
Fortaleza finally picked up their first win of the season in a 2-1 victory over the “most loved club” Flamengo just over a week ago, but there is not much to look into here as they still remain at the bottom of the table. Atletico PR have also found their first away win, edging Cuiaba by a late goal courtesy of Victor Roque’s first goal this season. This fixture really doesn’t tilt to either camp, with a draw the likely outcome.
Tuesday 14 June
Botafogo 9/10
Draw 39/20
Avai 3/1
(00:00)
It’s really as straight forward as they come when Avai travels to Rio de Janeiro to tackle recently promoted Botafogo. Winless on the road, conceding seven and converting just two (one of which was a penalty), Avai are a no contest here. Botafogo is the highest of the promoted teams on the table and a win is definitely on the cards. At 9/10 I cannot pass up on the home side.
QUAD @ 26/1
Corinthians/Juventude BTTS (Yes) 27/20
Atletico Mineiro & Over 2.5 11/10
Fortaleza/Atletico PR Draw 39/20
Botafego Win 9/10
