Brandon Truter has returned to Upington City following his exit from Richards Bay.
The former AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United boss parted ways with the Natal Rich Boyz following the club’s poor start to the current season.
He had joined the Betway Premiership side from Motsepe Foundation Championship Upington, where he worked as Technical Director, but returns as head coach.
Truter takes over from Thulani Nkosi, who stepped away from his post, with Bafana Ba Gucci struggling in 11th place with just four wins from their opening 13 games.
Upington City’s statement read: “Coach Nkosi has been a true ambassador for Upington City FC, and his contributions will never be forgotten.
“We are grateful for the time he spent with us. We wish him continued success in his coaching career.
“As we bid farewell to coach Nkosi, we are pleased to announce that coach Brandon Truter will take over as the new head coach of Upington City FC, effective immediately.
“Coach Truter returns to the club, where he previously served as senior coach. His experience and familiarity with the team will be invaluable in guiding the players and staff during this transition period.
“We are delighted to welcome coach Truter back to Upington City FC. His appointment is a significant boost to the team. We are confident that he will lead the team to success.”
