South African PSL | Wednesday 05 February | Kanyamazane Stadium | 19:30
To Win (90mins)
Black Aces 23/10
Draw 22/10
Swallows 11/10
Inconsistency has to be the biggest plague of the PSL, and these two teams are as guilty as sin.
To be fair, Swallows have had a tough run of things lately, with their last three defeats coming at the hands of Chiefs, Downs and Wits.
Having said that though, a title-winning side should always look to pick up points wherever possible and getting draws in those three games would’ve seen them as high as third on the table.
Alas, they cannot change the past, but use this opportunity against Aces as best they can.
Again, Aces suffer a similar weakness.
Last time these two sides met, Edward Manqele scored a sublime hat trick in a 3-2 thriller in Dobsonville.
If we get a similar spectacle this time round, we’re going to be in for a cracker.
Betting Prediction: DRAW 22/10
These sides have little prior history to go on, but this will be a close game to call. I’m heading for a fence-sitting draw here at 22/10, although Both Teams to Score is the far safer bet.
