Betway Premiership wrap: Polokwane City held to a draw by TS Galaxy

Golden Arrows recorded a second successive Betway Premiership victory with their 3-2 win over Cape Town City on Sunday.

Themba Mantshiyane opened the scoring at the Mpumalanga Stadium on nine minutes.

Ryan Moon added a second on 15 minutes, and while Gabriel Amato (54′) and Amadou Soukouna (64′) both netted for City, Nqobeko Dlamini’s 74th minute strike secured all three points for Arrows.

The result lifted Mabhuti Khanyeza’s charges into sixth place on 13 points and left City in 11th place with eight points.

Elsewhere, Polokwane City were held to a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy at home.

Dzenan Zajmovic scored his fourth goal for the Rockets at the end of the first half at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium as they club looked to build on their recent first win of the season under new head coach Adnan Beganovic, but Sibusiso Tshabalala had other ideas with an 84th minute equaliser.

City are in fifth place with 14 points from nine games, while the Rockets are down in 14th with six points from eight matches.
