Saturday December 14
5/4 Golden Arrows | Draw 33/20 | Richards Bay 24/10 (15:30)
Golden Arrows will aim to add to the problems of Richards Bay when they meet for crucial three points. They have secured two consecutive victories after going five matches without a win. Ryan Moon scored in their last match against Cape Town City. He will be entrusted with scoring goals so that Arrows can maintain their spot in the top eight.
Richards Bay looks to be taking the same direction as last season where they managed to keep their spot in the top-flight by surviving the relegation play-offs. They are in search of a new coach having parted ways with Brandon Truter following a series of negative results. My money is on Arrows.
19/10 Chippa United | Draw 33/20 | Cape Town City 31/20 (17:45)
Kwanele Kopo’s Chippa United began the season on the right note compared to previous seasons where they are usually amongst the teams that are in the relegation zone. Andile Jali has brought stability to the midfield, and Sinoxolo Kwayiba’s impressive showings have caught the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos.
They will be taking on troubled Cape Town City who are coming from back-to-back losses and have dropped to 13th place on the log. Under pressure, Eric Tinkler is expected to come out gun blazing for all three points. Easy win for Chippa United
7/10 SuperSport United | Draw 39/20 | Magesi FC 48/10 (20:00)
United managed to bounce back to winning ways by edging Richards Bay FC 1-0 following a run of three matches without a victory. They will be taking on the newcomers who recently lifted the Carling Knockout Cup but are struggling to bring their cup form to league matches. Bradley Grobler returned to the field after recovering from a lengthy injury and scored a late winner for his side.
The Clinton Larsen-led team are yet to collect a point since their cup triumph. They suffered a 2-0 loss against Chippa United and that was followed by another heavy defeat by Marumo Gallants who beat them 3-1. It remains to be seen if they can turn things around in this match. SuperSport to edge Magesi.
