Bayern being linked with Dembele move

Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele’s contract with Barcelona is set to run out on 30 June with the two parties yet to reach a resolution, now other clubs are starting to circle hoping to clinch a deal in the summer.

Should the 25-year-old Frenchman not sign a new deal he will then become a free agent and several clubs are hoping to swoop in for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Paris Saint-Germain plus the Premier League have been linked to the Barca winger but now Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have entered the fray as another option.

This due to the uncertainty over ace goalscorer Robert Lewandowski signing a new deal plus Serge Gnabry could also be on the way out of the Allianz Arena.

As per French publication L’Equipe, Bayern have already reportedly opened talks with Dembele’s camp over a summer move.

Dembele has enjoyed success in the Bundeliga before, when playing for Borussia Dortmund in 2016/17, before making a big-money move to Barcelona.

Bayern have reportedly been interested in Dembele since the January transfer window and are planning to launch a fresh attempt in the summer.

What makes this move seem legit is that Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann, director Hasan Salihamidzic and chairman Oliver Kahn are all fans of Dembele.
