Stuart Baxter says he has already had talks with a number of clubs both locally and on the wider African continent as he continues his search for a new club.
The former South Africa head coach was dismissed by Kaizer Chiefs in April, having returned to his former team in June 2021 and leading them to their first Champions League final.
Baxter was reported to be heading to Tanzania after talks with Simba SC, but insists no decisions have as yet been made on his future.
He told SABC Sport: “I had a number of conversations both locally in the Premier Soccer League and on the continent, including a meeting with Simba.
“But I think it is important to correct some misinformation. I took a meeting with Simba to discuss their plans going forward, and I feel there are now agents who are misleading the public about what was discussed.
“I haven’t decided yet if there will be further talks with any of the clubs that I’ve met. But football is [about] timing, so let’s wait and see.”
