Stellenbosch boss Steve Barker says Jayden Adams and Antonio van Wyk impressed while on trial in Europe recently.
The Stellies pair both came up through the club’s youth ranks before going on to break into the first team and subsequently being called up for Bafana Bafana.
Adams linked up with Swedish side Varbergs BoIS while Van Wyk spent time in Belgium with Westerlo.
Reflected on what it means for both young players, Barker told KickOff: “In both their cases, it was a genuine chance of them making it and in both of their cases they came back with positive feedback.
“Their agents have the connections to give them these sorts of opportunities and it’s important that they do get those opportunities. I do believe that in both of their cases, it was a great experience for them and well worth the trip.”
Former Stellenbosch players Ryan Moon Luke Le Roux have both previously signed for Varberg.
