Bafana Bafana Africa Cup of Nations opponents revealed

Bafana Bafana has been placed in Group B alongside the five-time African champions for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco later this year.

The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals took place in Morocco on Monday evening. Conducting proceedings were Mustapha Hadji, Serge Aurier, Aliou Cisse and Joseph Yobo.

South Africa have been on the rise under current head coach Hugo Broos and qualified for AFCON as Group K leaders ahead of Uganda and eliminated sides Congo and South Sudan.

Egypt and Angola also ended on top of their groups, while Zimbabwe ended in second place in Group J behind winners Cameroon.

Bafana are first up against Angola on December 22, ahead of taking on Egypt on December 26 and Zimbabwe on December 29.

The finals will take place from December 21 to January 18 with Morocco kicking off the tournament against Comoros.
