Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is reportedly on the verge of joining Arsenal on a season-long loan agreement.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium throughout the summer, but the situation looks like being resolved in the near future as the player is poised to return from an extended break after helping Spain’s Under-21s win the European Championship in Italy.
Ceballos, who has scored five goals in 56 matches for Los Blancos after joining from La Liga rivals Real Betis in 2017, has also made six appearances for the Spanish senior squad in his career.
And reports in Spain claim he has decided to move to the Premier League ahead of next season and wants to link up with Gunners boss and compatriot Unai Emery in north London.
Ceballos, who has also been linked to Tottenham and AC Milan, looks set to join Arsenal on an initial season-long loan deal, but Real Madrid officials are thought to be keen on the move including an option to buy in 12 months.
