New AmaZulu defender Philani Zulu says preparations have gone well for their season-opening DStv Premiership clash with Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Last week AmaZulu were knocked out of the MTN8 Cup by Cape Town City in what was a debut match for the 28-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs defender Zulu.
In an interview through AmaZulu’s media department, Zulu said preparations were going well and things felt great in the squad so far. He added that he was finding it easy to gel with the squad as he fits in well with the way the Benni McCarthy-coached side plays.
“The preparations for this game are just going well, so far so good,” said Zulu.
“We took all the positives from the previous game against Cape Town City, and we fixed all the mistakes that were there and all I can say is that the gents…the whole team exactly is preparing very well.
“I think we are pretty much ready for the game against Sundowns,” Zulu added.
