AmaZulu Coach Expresses Gratitude and Disappointment Following Dismissal

AmaZulu FC announced the dismissal of head coach Pablo Franco Martin and his assistant, Aitor Van Den Brule, following a disappointing start to the 2023/24 season.

Martin, who joined AmaZulu at the beginning of last season on a three-year contract, expressed his gratitude and disappointment in an open letter to the club. Despite facing challenges during his tenure, he assured the club that it would always hold a special place in his heart.

However, the team’s performance faltered, resulting in an 11th-place finish in the Betway Premiership last season. This season, the Spanish coach, who previously served as an assistant coach at Real Madrid, suffered three consecutive defeats, leading to his termination and the club’s relegation to the bottom of the table. The club has yet to announce a replacement for Martin
