AmaZulu announce six of ten signings

AmaZulu have confirmed the signing of six new players ahead of the upcoming season.

Thendo Mukumela (Cape Town Spurs), Veluyeke Zulu (Chippa United), Riaan Hanamub (Chippa United), Dumisani Zuma (Kaizer Chiefs), Augustine Kwem (TS Galaxy) and Gabadinho Mhango (Orlando Pirates).

This, after the KZN outfit announced the release of a whopping 15 players, namely Neil Boshoff, Tapelo Xoki, Xola Mlambo, Luvuyo Memela, Philani Zulu, Limbikani Mzava, Tsepo Masilela, Kgotso Moleko, Henrick Ekstein, Abraham Majok, Thabo Qalinge, Siphelele Mthembu, Andre de Jong, Augustine Mulenga and Siyethemba Sithebe.
They have now partially made up for the massive exodus and still have another four acquisitions to be announced, which brings the total tally of those incoming to 10.
“We await the conclusion of a further signing of two players and the promotion of two players from the MDC (DDC) whom we will reveal as soon as it is practicable.

“Once concluded, the average age of the 10 new signings will be 25 years. Incidentally, the average age of the 15 players that AmaZulu let go was 30 years. AmaZulu wants to build the core of the team with the capacity to compete in the forthcoming season and beyond,” said AmaZulu in the statement.
