Sukazi revealed in a radio interview that Amakhosi made a R4 million bid for the 22-year-old which his club rejected due to a huge difference of valuation of the player’s fee.

“There’s never been a monetary offer outside Kaizer Chiefs,” admitted Sukazi on Metro FM.

“They did table an offer – Kaizer Jr tabled a R4m offer. I thought really? It wasn’t good enough in my view. Seluleko at least, he should be on R10 million and above at least; that’s his number, he’s young and Kaizer was not prepared to budge.

“R4-million was the number and then he stood his ground, we stood our ground.”

Mahlambi, the younger brother of former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahli forward Phakamani, caught the eye of many last season after scoring six goals while providing five assists in 29 matches for the Rockets, including a hat trick.

However, he is yet to find the net or assist this season after six appearances with the Rockets languishing on 12th position on the Betway Premiership table.
