Defending champions Orlando Pirates will begin their Carling Knockout title defence at home against newly promoted Milford FC after the round of 16 draw was conducted in Fourways, Johannesburg, on Wednesday evening.
The Buccaneers lifted the trophy last season with a 1-0 victory over Marumo Gallants in the final and will now face Premiership newcomers Milford as South African football turns its attention to the competition following the conclusion of the MTN8.
Kaizer Chiefs will also enjoy home advantage in their opening tie against TS Galaxy, while Mamelodi Sundowns meet Marumo Gallants in a repeat of last season’s round of 16 encounter.
The remaining fixtures see Kruger United face AmaZulu, Golden Arrows take on Chippa United, Durban City meet Stellenbosch FC, Polokwane City play Siwelele FC, and Sekhukhune United host Richards Bay.
