The 28-year-old goalkeeper was handed his opportunity after Brandon Petersen was ruled out through injury, having initially started his time at the club on the bench.
Leaner joined the Glamour Boys on a free transfer from Sekhukhune United during pre-season, ahead of the resumption of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership campaign.
The shot-stopper produced a composed display on his debut, making several excellent saves to help Chiefs secure a point and prevent Arrows from finding the breakthrough.
Reflecting on his performance, Leaner explained how his confidence and ability to remain focused helped him deal with the occasion and deliver a strong showing between the posts.
