Masandawana are looking to reclaim the league title after Orlando Pirates ended an eight-year winning run for the Tshwane giant’s last season.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi have not won the league since the 2014/15 season under Stuart Baxter but have started off well under new coach Fernando Da Cruz, almost defeating Sundowns in the recent 1-1 draw between the two sides.
Portuguese mentor Miguel Cardoso has shed some light on what he believes will happen in the league until the end of the year, while also backing Chiefs to be a threat.
“I think we are going to enter the period of the season until December that will be completely different to what we have now,” said Cardoso.

“The capacity to play a lot under stress and pressure, knowing that in the Champions League you play your best players, otherwise you don’t win. In other league games, you have to put other players and see if they can rise to the level that will speak for both teams.
“It’s too early [to tell who will win the league], but probably a high level of competition from three teams. Also, Chiefs will be there for sure. Let’s see; it will be interesting to see.”
All three teams are yet to taste defeat in the league this season.
