Algeria produced a dominant first-half performance to defeat Kenya 2-0 and confirm their place in the knockout rounds.
Captain Marine Dafeur gave Algeria the perfect start in the 14th minute with a superb long-range free-kick that flew beyond Kenya goalkeeper Lilian Awuor.
The North Africans doubled their advantage nine minutes later after Lynda Bendris pressed goalkeeper Elizabeth Ochaka into making a mistake inside the penalty area. Bendris quickly reacted to win possession and although Awuor managed to get a hand to the shot, the ball still crossed the line.
Kenya responded positively and nearly pulled one back before half-time when Martha Emedot fired a powerful effort just wide of the target.

Algeria also came close to adding a third before the break as Morgane Ikene rose well to meet a cross, but her header drifted narrowly past the post.
Kenya enjoyed more possession after the interval as they searched for a way back into the match, but Algeria’s organised defence rarely looked troubled.
The Harambee Starlets’ best opportunity came with 10 minutes remaining when captain Mwanalima Jereko controlled the ball brilliantly before sending a low effort just wide of the post.
Algeria comfortably saw out the remaining minutes to claim an important victory that secured second place in Group A and a place in the quarter-finals.
