A young Amakhosi side ended their season with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chippa United on Satuirday.
The Soweto side had already secured third on the league standings, and their place in CAF Confederation Cup qualification for next season with a strong second half to their season.
Chiefs edged out AmaZulu and Sekhukhune to secure the final CAF spot and management used this game against the Chilli Boys to give a few fringe players a run-out.
New Chippa boss Brandon Truter ultimately won the tie 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, to secure his side’s top-flight status – in 13th place with 28 points from 30 games – four clear of both relegated Orbit College and Magesi in the relegation/promotion play-off places.
It is undecided if Kaze co-coach Ben Youssef will continue to lead the club next season, with the former admitting that talks are not yet underway.
“We don’t know yet,” said Kaze on SuperSport when quizzed about his future.
“Next week we will meet the board and review the season. From that we will assess and a decision will be made. We are calm and look forward to what is going to happen.”
Reflecting on the final day defeat where Sammy Seabi netted after 33 minutes, Kaze added: “We started the game well and had a couple of opportunities. But we lacked a bit of decision making and composure. There were a lot of attacking players starting a game for the first time.

“We didn’t score and it gave an opportunity and belief to the opponent.
“We came in the second half with a better intention to press high and got opportunities but couldn’t score. But it was a game with a lot of experience that we gave to young players, to play in the Premiership and feel how the league is. For sure the future is bright for our young players.
“Unfortunately we couldn’t get the result we wanted, but overall it was a good season even if we didn’t win a trophy.
“I am sure next season after the foundation we have laid, we will be ready to compete for trophies.”
