Siwelele are set to host Kaizer Chiefs at the Free State Stadium this evening in what promises to be a thrilling Betway Premiership encounter.
The hosts head into the fixture after a frustrating 0-0 draw against Golden Arrows and will be determined to respond with a stronger display as they continue their pursuit of a top-eight finish.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi head into the clash with renewed confidence after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against title contenders Orlando Pirates, a result that extended their strong run of form and reinforced their push for a third-place finish, continental qualification, and a first 50-point mark since the 2019–20 season.
The previous meeting between the sides ended goalless, but both teams will be eager to avoid another stalemate in Bloemfontein.
Chiefs defender Thabiso Monyane, speaking to the club’s official website, reflected on the Soweto Derby and looked ahead to the upcoming fixture: “The Derby was a great game. We had a plan and executed it well. Both teams pushed for the win, but it ended level. Now our focus is on Bloem and the challenge against 11th-placed Siwelele.”

Monyane also emphasised the need for focus and consistency: “We’re not expecting an easy game and we don’t underestimate any opponent. We approach every match with the same mentality.
The Derby was big, but this one is just as important. We’ve analysed them, we’ve prepared, and now it’s about executing once again.”
“We have to keep pushing. The team is in a good space, confidence is high, but we stay grounded. It’s one game at a time as we look to finish strongly and make our supporters proud.”
