Amakhosi4Life: Kaizer Chiefs target maximum points away against relegation-threatened Orbit College

Kaizer Chiefs will move back into third place on the Betway Premiership standings with all three points away to Orbit College at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Amakhosi overcame a run of three consecutive league defeats with a 1-0 win over Durban City and more recently a 2-0 victory over Magesi FC.

A win for the Soweto side would lift them two points clear of AmaZulu and also heap more misery on relegation-threatened Mswenko Boys, who are currently 18 points worse off in 15th place with 18 points from 22 games.

The newly promoted team last went down 1-0 to Siwelele, having won just five games all campaign.

The reverse fixture, meanwhile, saw Chiefs beat Orbit 4-1 at the FNB Stadium in November.

Ahead of the clash, Mswenko Boys head coach Pogiso Makhoye said on SuperSport: “We need to fight and it’s going to be a long way. Our target is to ensure that in at least five games we get four points. The priority is to make sure we stay in this league.”

Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze added: “From now on, we need as well to stay calm and not get euphoric because we won two games; we need to work very hard to keep the momentum.”

While Chiefs will be without the suspended Inacio Miguel and injured stars Zitha Kwinika, Rushwin Dortley, George Matlou and Reeve Frosler, Orbit College welcome Thulani Jingana back from suspension, but Brian Mandela is an injury doubt.
