
Late drama took centre stage in the Betway Premiership on Saturday as Magesi FC struck at the death to snatch a crucial point against Chippa United, while Sekhukhune United were left frustrated after being held at home.

Magesi FC fought back from 2-0 down to earn a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Chippa United in a lively Betway Premiership clash.

Chippa took control early when Ayabulela Konqobe struck a stunning long-range effort in the 42nd minute, assisted by Bongani Sam, to give them a 1-0 lead at the break.
The visitors doubled their advantage shortly after halftime through Somila Ntsundwana in the 53rd minute, finished clinically from close range after a cross from Justice Figuareido.
Magesi responded strongly in the second half. Mcedi Vandala pulled one back in the 60th minute with a composed left-footed finish from the centre of the box, set up by Edmore Chirambadare.
The equaliser came dramatically in the 87th minute when Sifiso Luthuli slotted home from close range following a pinpoint cross by Nyakala Raphadu, securing a valuable point for the hosts.
The match featured several substitutions, yellow cards, and minor delays due to injuries, but no red cards. Both sides pressed until the final whistle in added time, with late corners and free-kicks failing to produce a winner.
Sekhukhune 0-0 Polokwane
Both teams could not convert opportunities in the final third as a goalless stalemate was played out at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
The result would be a setback for both teams as they chase a top-eight berth at the end of the season.
