The 34-year-old ex- Mamelodi Sundowns, Maritzburg United and Hapoel Tel Aviv defender has been clubless since leaving SuperSport United in 2024.

He played one season with Matsatsantsa after his switch from Azerbaijan club Turan Tovuz.

The former Bafana Bafana centre-back was hoping to reignite his career with an unnamed Armenian team, but a deal ultimately failed to materialise.

The player’s agent told FARPost: “He just came back about two weeks ago from Armenia. There was a deal in principle with a club in Armenia, but when we got there, we found out that the deal was not as it had been outlined for us.

“He had been in Armenia since late January. The club was doing their mini pre-season there because their league resumes normally towards the end of February. So, he did the mini pre-season, but what we had planned did not materialise.
