Mamelodi Sundowns, unbeaten in their last three matches and riding a six‑game winning streak, know that victory in Rustenburg will strengthen their grip on the title race as they battle Orlando Pirates for top spot.

The fixture, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, has been brought forward to March 10 and moved to Olympia Stadium, with kick‑off set for 19:30.

It comes at a crucial time for Sundowns, who must balance domestic ambitions with continental commitments, as they host Stade Malien in the CAF Champions League quarterfinal first leg just three days later.

Orbit College, however, have their own mission. Sitting 15th in the relegation playoff position, the Mswenko Boys are desperate to climb out of danger.

Recent results have given them hope — they first played out a draw with Richards Bay before following it up with a spirited 2–1 away victory over TS Galaxy.

Coach Pogiso Makhoye told SuperSport that consistency is key to survival. “We need to fight, and it’s going to be a long journey. Our goal is to make sure that in at least five games we collect four points. The main priority is staying in this league,” he said.

Orbit head into the clash with no suspension concerns, though Katlego Cwinyane remains unavailable as he continues his recovery. Sundowns, on the other hand, will be missing suspended midfielder Jayden Adams.

They also face several injury worries, with Mothobi Mvala, Zuko Mdunyelwa, Bathusi Aubaas, Keanu Cupido and Thapelo Morena all doubtful for selection.

Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso, speaking to SuperSport, emphasised the collective focus within his squad despite the packed schedule.

“We are more committed than ever, more together than ever, and we train harder than ever. From now on, everyone is fully focused on the match against Orbit,” he said.
