
Since joining Orlando Pirates in 2021, the 31-year-old ex-Maritzburg United and Bafana Bafana midfielder has featured in 110 matches, netting 11 goals and creating five.
He has, however, struggled for game-time over the past few campaigns and this season has featured in just four games in all competitions under current head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Shandu’s contract with Pirates expires at the end of the 2025/26 season and is just one of a potential end of season departures.

The player’s agent Mike Makaab told FARPost that no decision has yet been made on the player.
“Bandile Shandu is contracted to Orlando Pirates, and for us it is just to wait for the club to make a decision on the player. In this situation, they have the first preference,” he said.
“We are open to any decision from Pirates, and should they opt against renewing the contract in the coming months, we’ll be left with no choice but to look for other options for Shandu.”
