Business as Usual for Seema as Pirates Target Top Spot

The Buccaneers have won the Premier Soccer League nine times and are nine-time runners-up, having ended in second place behind Mamelodi Sundowns for the past three campaigns.

They are currently in third place on the league standings with 29 points from 13 games, one point behind second-placed Kaizer Chiefs and three adrift of leaders Sundowns – but with two games in hand.

Seema, who joined Bucs from TS Galaxy at the start of the season, has played 19 games in all competitions, scoring one goal.

He will expect his team to secure all three points in their upcoming league clash with bottom-side Magesi at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

Ahead of the weekend’s game, Seema on IOL: “As a team, we said we want to win the league. And to do that, we need to keep winning games.

“We’ve been doing the same thing since the beginning of the season, defending together, keeping the team compact and just putting in the work.

“Of course, the coach puts a bit of pressure on us, but his main focus is on the defence.”
