Eswatini team, Mbabane Highlanders, have acquired the services of former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo.

The eSwatini outfit confirmed the appointment last week, bringing on board a figure with extensive top-flight and international experience as the club looks to strengthen its technical structures.

Khuzwayo, who retired from active football in 2019, enjoyed a distinguished career in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League, turning out for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

He also earned caps with Bafana Bafana, gaining valuable international exposure that Mbabane Highlanders believe will add significant value to their setup.

In a statement, the club said it was pleased to welcome Khuzwayo with immediate effect, describing him as a professional with strong technical insight and a modern approach to the game.

Highlanders added that his presence is expected to play an important role in improving performance levels and contributing to player development across the club.

The appointment comes at a crucial stage of the season for the Black Bull, who currently sit 10th on the Swazi MTN Premier League standings after 15 matches.

Club management sees the move as part of a broader strategy to embed high-performance standards and support long-term ambitions both on and off the pitch.

Mbabane Highlanders further emphasised that strengthening the technical team remains a key priority as they seek consistency and improvement in the second half of the campaign.

The club concluded by extending a warm welcome to Khuzwayo and wishing him success as he begins a new chapter with the Mbabane Highlanders family.
