Zimbabwe’s Daniel Msendami says he is ready to contribute wherever he is needed after making his Africa Cup of Nations debut.
“I will go where I’m needed and I’ll push very hard,” he told the media following Zimbabwe’s group stage campaign, referring to rumours that he might be joining one of the either Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates.

The Warriors’ run at AFCON 2025 ended in disappointment, with the team finishing bottom of their group after a defeat to South Africa. They exited the tournament without a win, but for Msendami, the chance to play at AFCON was still a significant milestone.
He explained that the Betway Premiership has prepared him for the demands of continental football. “The PSL has prepared me well because it is also a top league. For me it is a big achievement to play in AFCON,” he said.
Despite the early exit, the 25-year old’s focus now turns back to his club career with Marumo Gallants. He has been linked with a move to one of the bigger teams in the PSL, but he remains grounded about the speculation.
“Definitely, we play for that. We play to go to top leagues and big teams. But for me, the way I heard it, I think it was something concrete, but I didn’t put it in my mind,” he explained.
He added: “If they really were interested in me, they were going to take me. But for me, I will just keep on pushing and try very hard to score more goals in the league.”
His AFCON debut may have ended in defeat, but it also marked the beginning of a journey that could see him rise further in both club and national football.
