Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has bemoaned some refereeing decisions that went against them in the 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy in Mbombela on Sunday.

Amakhosi were first denied a goal in the 19th minute after striker Flavio Silva latched onto a through ball and scored, but was erroneously adjudged to be in an offside position.

The Soweto giants were also denied a penalty in the second half after Bafana Bafana defender Khulumani Ndamane seemingly fouled Dillan Solomons in the box.

“We scored a goal, in my opinion it’s a great goal,” said coach Ben Youssef to SuperSport TV after the match.

“Penalty! We don’t take [get awarded] penalty and in football what we know in football, when you score you will win. We scored and they remove the goal.”

“We create more than 12, 13 opportunities, 26 shots on target but finally we have to continue to work. I don’t like to repeat myself every time, we are unlucky.”

Chiefs are now winless in their last four matches in all competitions ahead of the break for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
