Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe says losing to TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup final was unacceptable though football can be unpredictable.

Chiefs suffered the humiliation of losing to the National First Division minnows on 18 May – a match in which Hadebe featured until he was substituted in the 92nd minute.

As such, the Zimbabwe international has promised to help the Glamour Boys improve next season after a campaign of doom and gloom in 2018/19.

Aside from the defeat to Galaxy, Chiefs finished in ninth and will miss the MTN8 competition in 2019/20.

He told reporters: “For me, I think for Chiefs things, to be honest, things didn’t go the way we wanted.

“Sometimes football is funny. The bad thing was that we were beaten by a small team which is eight months (in the NFD).

“I don’t know where they came from, but that’s water under the bridge. We have to forget.

“I still have many years to play in football. The good thing is that I’m still young I’m learning from my mistakes.”
