Former Orlando Pirates wing-back Thabo Matlaba is reportedly favouring making a move to Martizburg United to team up with former coach Eric Tinkler.
Matlaba recently departed the Sea Robbers after turning down an offer from Pirates supremo Dr Irvin Khoza to take a pay-cut.
The fullback, who can also play on the wing and in midfield, spent seven years of success with Bucs but didn’t get much playing time last season under coach Milutin Sredojevic.
However, according to a Kickoff report, Black Leopards are also extremely interested in landing the 31 year old’s services.
Lidoda Duvha are showing some big ambition ahead of 2019/20 as they have already signed Thuso Phala and Mogakolodi Ngele.
A source told the publication: “Black Leopards and Maritzburg United have made contact.
“Maritzburg looks likely to be his next destination.”
