Orlando Pirates have announced the departure of versatile midfielder Katlego Otladisa after two seasons.
The 28-year-old joined the Buccanners at the start of the 2023/24 season an impressive spell with Marumo Gallants, where he was featured in 79 matches, scored once and provided ten assists.
He found it difficult to settle into the Pirates setup and struggled to cement a place in the starting eleven, managing just 12 appearances, mostly off the bench.
Limited game time eventually saw him loaned out to Sekhukhune United midway through the 2024/25 season, where he rediscovered flashes of his Gallants form, featuring in 11 matches, contributing two goals and an assist before returning to his parent club.
However, competition intensified under new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou following the arrival of 13 new signings, leaving the midfielder surplus to requirements.
Notably, Otladisa was part of the Pirates squad that lifted the MTN8 trophy in 2023 under Jose Riveiro, who remarkably guided the Buccaneers to three consecutive titles in the competition.
