Sekhukhune United have officially announced the blockbuster signing of seasoned striker Bradley Grobler, securing the services of the former SuperSport United talisman.
This move marks a significant reinforcement for Sekhukhune as they aim to build on their strong performance in the recently concluded PSL season.
The club enthusiastically welcomed their new acquisition, stating, “Sekhukhune United confirms the signing of Bradley Grobler from SuperSport United. The experienced forward arrives with years of top-flight action and a proven eye for goals! Welcome to Babina Noko.”

Grobler, at 37 years old, brings a wealth of experience and a proven goal-scoring record to Eric Tinkler’s side.
This reunion is particularly noteworthy, as Grobler previously played under Tinkler at SuperSport United, where the duo notably clinched the MTN8 title in the 2017/18 season.
Tinkler will undoubtedly be banking on Grobler’s predatory instincts to propel Sekhukhune further up the Betway Premiership table in the upcoming campaign.
Sekhukhune United had a commendable 2024/25 PSL season, finishing in a strong fourth place. Neverthess, a late-season stumble, with only one win in their final five league games – including a crucial defeat to Golden Arrows on the final day – saw Stellenbosch narrowly snatch away a continental football spot. The addition of a prolific forward like Grobler could be the missing piece to help Babina Noko achieve their continental ambitions.
Grobler departs SuperSport United as a legend, holding the distinguished title of their all-time leading goal scorer with an impressive 91 goals and 29 assists across 293 appearances in all competitions.
His final season with Matsatsantsa proved challenging, as the team narrowly avoided the relegation playoffs. Grobler had signed a one-year contract extension with SuperSport United ahead of the recently concluded season, meaning his deal was set to expire at the end of June 2025.
His illustrious career began at Platinum Stars, where he quickly established himself as one of South Africa’s most promising strikers. After a brief stint in Europe with Turkish side Göztepe, he returned to South Africa, playing for the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs). Grobler then found his long-term home at SuperSport United in January 2013.
During his remarkable 12-year tenure at SuperSport, Grobler cemented his legacy, securing four domestic cups and the prestigious Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award in the 2020/21 season.
Notably, he played a pivotal role in two Nedbank Cup triumphs, in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, both against rivals Orlando Pirates. He even scored in both finals, which were held at Peter Mokaba Stadium and Moses Mabhida Stadium, respectively.
Grobler’s move to Sekhukhune United marks a new chapter for the veteran striker and signals Sekhukhune’s serious intent for the upcoming season.
