Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau is now a free agent following his departure from Qatar Stars League club Qatar SC.
The 31-year-old former Club Brugge and Anderlecht attacker joined the Kings from Egyptian giants Al Ahly on a short-term deal in January.
He played 10 games and registered four assists in a woeful season for the club, which saw them end their campaign in 10th on the league standings, just one spot from the relegation places.
The Bafana player spent much of his career with Egyptian giants Al Ahly, where he was featured in 126 matches, scored 30 goals, and provided 14 assists across all competitions.
He lifted a total of 12 trophies during his spell with the Red Devils from the season of 21/22 to 24/25.
Head coach Mehdi Natfi and a number of players, including Ben Malango, Javi Martinez, Badr Benoun, Carlinhos Vinicius and Ahmed Abdelkader, have also departed Qatar.
The club posted news of Tau’s departure on their social media accounts: “Thank you, Percy Tau. Wishing you success in the coming period.”
