The French champions booked their place in the final by dismantling Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate. Ousmane Dembele’s performance this season extended to the final stages of the Champions League and earned his side a favourable – albeit slender – lead in London.
This is the fourth time PSG will contest a European final, the bookmakers have them priced up as early favourites, but splitting these two teams will be a tough test. For the Parisians, their free-flowing football style and approach will be on full display. If they are given time and space on the ball, it could be a tough evening for Inter and Simone Inzaghi.
Inter Milan
Inter were first to ensure they secured a place in this final, edging out Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate. That tie was certainly one for the history books, and many have suggested that Inter have now played their final.
This is the second time Inter have appeared in the final of the Champions League in the last three seasons, and they will no doubt be fuelled by their more recent disappointment.
They come into this game as slight underdogs, but you get the feeling that they prefer it that way. Their robust and aggressive defensive style, coupled with their relentless attacking ability, will certainly ask questions of PSG – it might just come down to who is able to impose their style more effectively.
Prediction: Inter + Under 2.5 Goals (6/1)
I am backing the Italians to claim victory in Germany come Saturday evening. They have a strong defensive style and will be happy to play the role of ‘underdog’ here.
Expect a cagey affair – but back Inter to just edge it.
