An important announcement regarding the tickets for the Nedbank Cup final game between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates has been made following fans encountering challenges while attempting to buy tickets on Monday, 5 May.
The match is set to take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 10 May, starting at 15:00.
Tickets went on sale on Monday, 5 May, through Open Tickets and Shoprite outlets. Football fanatics flocked to the stores to secure their tickets earliest but were met with difficulties as the demand on the system made it hard for the sales to be successful.
Open Tickets released a statement shedding light on the situation. “Open Tickets regrets the disruption experienced by fans during the ticket sales for the 2025 Nedbank Cup Final,” the statement reads.
They further explained that a detailed report will be submitted to the Premier Soccer League and that all affected customers will be assisted or refunded if needed.
An official announcement is yet to be made on whether or not the tickets for the match have been sold.
