Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi was delighted to see his squad strengthened with three new signings.
Ayabulela Maxwele, Shadrack Kobedi, and Sabelo Sithole were all snapped up by the Betway Premiership side from the suspended Royal AM.
Mngqithi wasted no time making use of his new players as he brought Maxwele on for Thokozani Lukhele at half-time of their 2-1 league victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the weekend.
Kobedi came on for Gumbi with just under 20 minutes of the match to play, while Sithole was not included in the matchday squad.
The Arrows boss said on iDiski Times: “They are brilliant players, they are going to add value to our squad.
“Even Sithole could have played today [Saturday], but we felt physically, we had put him under a lot of stress in the last two weeks or few days maybe, when we really pushed most of those boys to the limit because we tried to improve the condition of the team so that they can play this very intensive game because they were not used to it.
“So, we felt we might lose a player with such big muscles if we stretched him into a game of this intensity, and that’s why he was not part of the team. But we are very happy to have him as well.”
