Roger De Sa has joined struggling Betway Premiership Cape Town City as an assistant coach, hoping to help the team fight relegation.
The 13th placed side dispenced with head coach Muhsin Ertugral on Monday following a run of poor results, leaving assistant Diogo Peral in temporary charge.
Ertugral was only brought in three months ago as a replacement for Eric Tinkler, and recorded three wins, three draws and eight losses, across all competitions.
Sa is joined by Lebogang Manyama, with the pair set to assist Peral until at least the end of the season.
A club statement read: “First team coach Diogo Peral will lead the team until the end of the season, assisted by Lebogang Manyama and Roger De Sa.”
De Sa has vast coaching experience, having worked with Platinum Stars, Maritzburg United, Ajax Cape Town, Pirates and Bidvest Wits as well as with nationals sides Egypt, Iran and most recently Qatar.
