Muhsin Ertugral bids farewell to Cape Town City

Muhsin Ertugral has wished Cape Town City “success and good fortune” following his sacking as head coach.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates boss was dismissed after just three months at the club.

He started his tenure with wins over his former teams but has since struggled for results, with his side failing to win in their last ten games in all competitions.

Ertugral was expected to remain as coach this season before taking up a technical director role, but he has since departed the club altogether.

He has been replaced on an interim basis by first team coach Diogo Peral, who will be assisted by Roger Sa by Lebogang Manyama.

Ertugral posted on social media: “It’s never easy to say goodbye, but sometimes the game leads us down unexpected paths.

“I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the incredible players I’ve had the privilege to know.

“Though some situations may seem unfortunate, I believe there’s always an opportunity to turn them into something greater.

“I wish nothing but success and good fortune for the team. Boys, Keep pushing, stay strong, and may luck always be on your side.

“Thank you for everything—wishing you all the best for the journey ahead.”
