Report: TS Galaxy’s Samukelo Kabini set for R15-million move to Molde FK

TS Galaxy defender Samukelo Kabini is on the brink of completing a high-profile move to Norwegian club Molde FK in a deal worth approximately R15 million.

The transfer, which is set to be a record sale for the Rockets, is currently in its final stages, with paperwork expected to be completed this week, iDiski Times reports.

The 20-year-old has been one of the standout young defenders in the Betway Premiership, attracting interest from several clubs, including another Norwegian club Valerenga.

However, Molde moved swiftly to secure his services, seeing him as an ideal replacement for Mathias Løvik, who left for Serie A side Parma in January.

Kabini’s impressive performances caught the attention of Molde’s scouting team, who travelled to South Africa to assess his abilities.

The young left-sided defender displayed composure, defensive solidity, and attacking support, convincing Molde to move forward with the deal.

With the transfer deadline in Norway closing on 27 March, Kabini is expected to finalize his visa and other necessary paperwork next week before travelling to join his new club.

Molde, currently competing in the UEFA Conference League, will be eager to integrate the young defender into their squad before their league opener against Sarpsborg at the Aker Stadion three days after the window closes.

This move represents a significant milestone for both Kabini and TS Galaxy, with the club having previously sold Djakaridja Junior Traore to Turkish club Istanbulspor and Aphelele Teto to Scottish side Livingston.
